A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge last week gave the thumbs-up to TerreStar Networks' plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a vital step for DISH's plans to bring its new wireless holdings out of bankruptcy. DISH last summer bought TerreStar and another bankrupt firm, satellite company DBSD North America, and moved to consolidate its new purchases as part of Chairman Charlie Ergen's plan to build a satellite-based mobile broadband network.
