Gaming legend Dennis Gomes, co-owner and CEO of Resorts Atlantic City, died Friday at the age of 68. Gomes, a colorful character who inspired the major motion picture "Casino," was known for his unusual and unforgettable promotions, such as the tic-tac-toe-playing chicken. But he was also lauded as a friend to all who knew him. "Dennis was truly the most giving, gracious and kindhearted human being. Everyone who knew him loved him," said Nicholas Moles, vice president and general counsel of Resorts.
