The George Washington Bridge between New York City and Fort Lee, N.J., will undergo a renovation that will cost between $460 million and $480 million, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said. The project, slated to begin next year, includes bus ramp upgrades and lower-level bridge rehab. The project is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs. The rehab is in addition to work that will replace the bridge's steel suspender ropes.
