Walt Disney Studios might make Redbox and other movie-rental businesses wait 28 days after movies are released on Blu-ray discs and DVDs to promote disc sales, according to Bob Iger, Disney's president and CEO. "I'd say the industry continues to suffer on the sellthrough side and the sale of goods digitally," he told financial analysts. Disney hasn't joined the UltraViolet "digital locker" effort promoted by other studios, instead developing its own KeyChest platform, which is behind schedule for rollout.
