Members of Generation X are known for being connected, mobile and social, but their younger counterparts are even more connected and bigger adopters of mobile technology, according to Nielsen. The market research firm has dubbed Americans ages 18 to 34 "Generation C." While people in this age bracket represent 23% of the population in the U.S., they account for 39% of smartphone users and one-third of tablet computer owners. Nielsen says 27% of online-video viewers are from Gen C, and the same percentage of visitors to blogs and social networks are Gen C constituents.
