The social network used most often used by recruiters is LinkedIn, followed by Twitter and then Facebook, according to a study by recruitment-software firm Bullhorn. Nearly half of recruiters use LinkedIn exclusively, even though a Twitter follower is nearly three times more likely to apply to a job than is one with a LinkedIn connection, the study found. Recruiters add an average of 18.5 LinkedIn connections weekly, compared with 3.3 Twitter followers and 1.4 Facebook friends.
