The city of Marinette, Wis., recently converted a Ford Crown Victoria police car to run on propane autogas, a move that will help the city save approximately $5,000 per year in fuel costs and reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. Charter Fuels, a member of Alliance AutoGas that helped with the conversion, will teach Marinette police how to operate autogas-powered vehicles safely and efficiently. "We are extremely pleased to help the Marinette Police Department run on the most cost-effective alternative fuel technology on the market today," said Charter Fuel's Bill Langlois.
