Clubs and courses that put renovation projects on pause after the recession are hitting play, spurring "cautious optimism" about the recovery among the 50-plus members of the American Society of Golf Course Architects gathered at the Golf Industry Show in Las Vegas earlier this month. "There is a noticeable improvement in both the amount of work being done and industry expectations moving forward compared to 12 and 24 months ago," said President Rick Phelps.
