Entergy's bid to renew the operating license of its Pilgrim nuclear plant in Massachusetts cleared another hurdle after the Nuclear Regulatory Commission dismissed a challenge from the state and others against the plant's relicensing. "Entergy is pleased with the NRC's ruling ... denying the Massachusetts Attorney General's post-Fukushima petition and the AG's motion to suspend Pilgrim Station's license renewal proceeding, and we look forward to the NRC's decision regarding license renewal for Pilgrim," the company said in a statement.
