RREEF America plans to raise up to $2.5 billion in an initial public offering as it forms a nontraded REIT. The REIT will invest in properties, real estate debt and REIT stocks. Its structure will be different from typical nontraded REITs in that its purchase price per share will fluctuate on a daily basis depending on the net asset value of its holdings. The structure is meant to give shareholders more liquidity.
