Researchers in Hong Kong say they've identified a virus that's likely responsible for at least some cases of tubulointerstitial nephritis, kidney disease that can prove fatal in cats. The feline morbillivirus is related to the virus that causes measles and mumps in humans and distemper in dogs, and researchers now plan to start working on a vaccine for the virus in cats.
