Watching TV may soon be like listening to music on Pandora, Time Warner Cable's Peter Stern predicts. Viewers will be able to eliminate unwanted channels and programs and instead watch programs passively dictated by preference -- and that's good news for the industry and advertisers, according to Stern. In addition, the TV Everywhere concept will allow cable companies to serve more customers and offer more targeted ads based on customer interests.
