Propane autogas is a more viable and economical alternative fuel for Mississippi fleets than compressed natural gas, writes Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas and president and CEO of Blossman Gas. Weidie notes that transitioning fleets to propane autogas is cheaper than converting to CNG, and building autogas fueling stations is more economical than building CNG stations. "Despite the fact that special interests are aggressively promoting natural gas with lobbying teams and advertising campaigns, fleets across the country are deploying thousands of autogas vehicles each year," Weidie writes.
