A study of 716 seniors found the 10% who were most active had an 8% chance of developing Alzheimer's disease while the 10% who were least active had an 18% risk, Rush University Medical Center researchers reported. Published in the journal Neurology, the study does not confirm that higher activity levels reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease, but it does suggest keeping active benefits older adults.
