Twitter's in-stream ads generate far better click-through rates than Facebook's display ads, perhaps because they're harder for the site's users to ignore, notes Dave Copeland. Now Facebook is hoping to replicate Twitter's success through the introduction of sponsored in-stream stories. "This is modeled, undoubtedly, after the success seen by Twitter," says Annalise Kaylor of Intrapromote.
