The Federal Trade Commission is requiring alcohol purveyors such as Anheuser-Busch, Diageo and Pernod Ricard to demonstrate how their practices are avoiding marketing to minors over social networks and other digital platforms. It's the first time the FTC has asked for details on digital marketing and data-collection operations. The FTC action was prompted by the queries of the Center for Digital Democracy and the Berkeley Media Studies Group of the Public Health Institute.
