Many brands ran content-marketing campaigns linked to Earth Day, writes Joe Meloni. For for some organizations -- the Environmental Protection Agency, say -- running themed content was a no-brainer, but less obviously green companies such as WordStream and Sprint also offered up effective Earth Day content. "[Y]ou don't have to wait for a holiday or national news that's centered on your industry if you're working with creative content writers," Meloni notes.
