Research In Motion on Tuesday introduced Mobile Fusion software that will allow its core enterprise customers to manage competing devices over servers installed for its BlackBerry smartphones and PlayBook tablet, a recognition that employees are using their personal devices in the workplace. RIM also asserted that it has gained ground among developers, noting that its App World market has reached 70,000 applications after seeing a 21% rise in BlackBerry smartphone apps and a 240% increase in PlayBook tablet software in the fourth quarter.
