TradeWind Energy has decided to cancel its Shuteye Creek Wind Project in Missouri's Adair, Putnam and Sullivan counties. "Unfortunately it has become increasingly evident that the wind energy market in Missouri will simply not develop in the foreseeable future given the lack of interest in wind energy in the state," according to a statement from TradeWind CEO Rob Freeman. State Rep. Zachary Wyatt said TradeWind's decision was disappointing because the project could have helped the local economy.
