Patients with Fitzpatrick skin types I-III who were treated once a month for two months with a 650-microsecond 1,064-nm Nd:YAG laser showed significant improvements in facial telangiectasias on the nose and cheek. Discomfort and scarring associated with longer pulse duration were not seen, said study leader and dermatologist David J. Goldberg of Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
