An intermediate school in Milwaukee has adopted game-based learning, and in some cases, students themselves are learning to design video games. In one game, Quest Atlantis, students learn about language arts and social studies through a 3D interactive game. "We have a different generation of learners who are wired differently than us," said Dani Herro, instructional technology administrator. "That necessitates a different type of teaching. But it can also be distracting, so we have to find ways that connect them and make learning relevant."
