High-risk premature infants born in hospitals with high-level NICU units fare better than babies born in other facilities, according to the results of a study published in the journal Pediatrics. Researchers looked at 1,328,132 births between 23 and 37 weeks' gestation and found regional differences in neonatal outcomes, possibly due to different regionalization methods.
