Data from the recent Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index survey revealed 26.1% of U.S. adults were considered to be obese in 2012, compared with 25.5% in 2008. Researchers also found obesity rates in 44- to 47-year-olds increased to 30.4% this year, stayed consistent in those aged 24 to 27 and decreased slightly in people aged 60 to 63.
