The surface Saturn's moon Titan features the consistency of wet and soft sand with a delicate crust on top, according to a study led by Stefan Schröder, a Dawn team member at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany. The study, which includes information from the Huygens space probe with results from computer simulations as well as a drop test with a model, discovered that Huygens made a dent 4.7 inches deep upon landing on the moon.
