Sugarcane production in Brazil's center-south region is expected to reach 557 million metric tons in the 2013-2014 marketing year, compared with 522 million metric tons in the current season, according to Green Pool Commodity Specialists. The region's ethanol output will rise to 6.1 billion gallons in the 2013-2014 season, from 5.7 billion gallons in the current season, said Tom McNeill, a director at Green Pool.
