Researchers at Chalmers University in Sweden are developing a prosthetic arm that will respond to the user’s thoughts. Scientists will anchor the device to the amputee’s skeleton through osseointegration and implant electrodes on nerves and muscles. A neural interface will capture electrical impulses from the residual limb and transfer them to the prosthesis through a titanium implant.
