Wind farms set a new output record in Texas on Nov. 10, according to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. On that day, wind energy generation reached 8,521 megawatts, representing 25.9% of system load at the time, ERCOT said. Almost 7,000 MW of the output that day came from wind farms in West Texas, while more than 1,100 MW came from turbines along the Texas coast, ERCOT added.
