AT&T Mobility chief Ralph de la Vega said Wednesday that the carrier sold 6.4 million smartphones in the first two months of the fourth quarter, putting it on pace to set a record for the period and to reach 26 million units for the year, 1 million more than expected. He also expressed confidence about the tablet market, especially since iOS, Android and Windows are available. "I can't fathom how many tablets will be under the Christmas tree," de la Vega said.
