Just as U.S. quickservice chains are looking to international markets for growth, players from other countries are finding American fans. A slew of international quickservice and fast-casual chains have opened shop in the U.S. in recent years, including YO! Sushi, Pret A Manger, Pollo Campero, and Freshii. “They are looking for markets where there is a high percentage of people dining out, such as Washington, D.C., New York City, Miami, and Chicago,” said Technomic's Darren Tristano.
