A group of education stakeholders recently came together to discuss plans for developing a reliable resource that would provide educators with information about which math aids are effective. Officials say the first step is to determine the criteria that will be used to determine what works. "If it's the same old stuff and it just looks more glitzy because it's on the iPad or on the computer, it's not going to have any impact," said Linda Gojak, president of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
