Extremely premature babies treated with continuous positive airway pressure with higher oxygen-saturation targets fared better than the lower-oxygen-saturation group, a study found. However, researchers found no difference in deaths or neurodevelopmental disorders between the CPAP group and a surfactant group. The findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
