The percentage of older Americans who support marriage for same-sex couples is increasing, even among those who self-identify as conservatives, polls show. One reason for the trend could be that an increasing percentage of people say they know relatives, friends or colleagues who are openly gay. "As far as I'm concerned, if it works for them, it's OK with me," said Doug Montzka, a contractor who says he's a devout Christian and very conservative Republican.
