The UltraViolet service, which lets consumers store video content in a cloud-based "digital locker," now has more than 7 million registered accounts, compared with 3 million in June, according to Lexine Wong of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Consumer awareness of UltraViolet has gone north of 50%, she adds. "In all of our releases we have links to learn more about UltraViolet because not every consumer knows what it is yet," Wong says.
