Production from the Eagle Ford Shale formation in Texas rose 76% to 323,098 barrels of crude a day in October, compared with 183,261 barrels a day in the same month last year, according to the Texas Railroad Commission. EOG Resources is the formation's biggest leaseholder with 644,000 net acres, followed by Chesapeake Energy with 475,000 net acres.
