Cook Inlet Region Inc.'s Fire Island Wind farm near Anchorage, Alaska, is performing "a little bit above expectations," said Ethan Schutt, CIRI's senior vice president of land and development. Meanwhile, Golden Valley Electric Association's Eva Creek wind project near Healy has generated about 11,300 megawatt hours of power, or enough to supply 8,000 households each month, said GVEA spokeswoman Cassandra Cerny. The project's final two turbines are due for commissioning next week.
