Scientists have found two asteroid belts around the Vega system, similar to the asteroid belts that exist in our own solar system. The discovery, made using NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope and the European Space Agency's Herschel Space Observatory, could mean that additional exoplanets exist between the two asteroid belts, much like our solar system. "Our findings echo recent results showing multiple-planet systems are common beyond our sun," said astronomer Kate Su, who presented the findings this week at the American Astronomical Society meeting.
