Brazil exported 805.7 million gallons of ethanol in 2012, higher than in 2010 and 2011, according to the London-based International Sugar Organization. Of the total in 2012, 541.5 million gallons went to the U.S., ISO said. "This follows a recent revival in the bilateral Brazil-U.S. ethanol trade, with Brazil able to ship large quantities of ethanol classed as advanced biofuel," said Leonardo Bichara Rocha, a senior economist for ISO.
