Santiago Canyon College in Orange, Calif., has expanded its science, technology, engineering and math programs by opening a 60,000-square-foot science center and starting STEM programs for the Orange Unified School District, Juan Vázquez, the college's president, writes in this guest column. Students in the school district now have access to after-school programs and activities on Saturdays through the college's Upward Bound Math and Science program.
