After parents complained about an algebra textbook being piloted in Fairfield Public Schools in Connecticut this year, superintendent David Title announced that the book, as well as other math textbooks under consideration, would be made available for public scrutiny. "We are committed to doing a fair and open evaluation of all available textbooks, for not just Algebra I, but for all the grades that lead up to Algebra I and lead up to geometry, so this is not a done deal," he said during a recent school board meeting.
