The new year started well for the biofuels industry after several tax incentives received one-year extensions with the passage of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, according to Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen. Although some biofuel advocates wanted longer extensions, the one-year extensions are welcome news given the divisions in the previous Congress, Dinneen said. "I'm hopeful that with a new Congress, we'll be able to be just as successful and will be able to keep the biofuels agenda moving forward," he added.
