Freelance writer Deborah Stambler was glad she was able to talk with an elderly colleague about what he wanted done with his poetry and writings after he died while he was still healthy and working. While that conversation centered around being a literary executor, she says she also has had end-of-life health care talks with family members and suggests people can find resources through the nonprofit group A Caregiver Story and the AARP about how to have such conversations.
