More schools nationwide are adopting the flipped instructional model -- a trend driven by success stories and a tech-savvy generation of students, according to data from the Flipped Learning Network. California high-school math teacher Crystal Kirch records short instructional videos, which students watch at home, while class time is devoted to practicing what they have learned at home. "It's a huge transformation," Kirch said. "It's a student-focused classroom where the responsibility for learning has flipped from me to the students."
