Some schools in Maine are using tablets to teach students with disabilities. For example, a teacher at the Morrison Center in Scarborough recently had students name pieces of clothing as they dressed a virtual snowman. In another case, teachers from Brown Elementary School during a recent school board presentation highlighted 10 ways students with disabilities can use tablet technology, calling attention to one activity in which a student who is nonverbal pieced together a sentence by touching words on the tablet's screen.
