A small survey of new mothers found they can have trouble finding a private place to express milk for their infants in the NICU, according to nurse researchers at Case Western Reserve University. The study, published in Advances in Neonatal Care, found mothers preferred to express breast milk at home for greater privacy and comfort but also because they did not want to risk missing progress reports during rounds when they were in the NICU.
