Some parents say they fear their children who have disabilities will be neglected or bullied if New York City officials go through with a plan to allow bus companies to transport their children while transporting students who are from general-education settings. The proposal is part of the city's overhaul of its bus contracts and ongoing negotiations in the bus-driver strike. City officials said students who need specialized transportation would continue to receive the service.
