The Perot Museum of Nature and Science's contemporary architectural design, including 4 million pounds of precast concrete panels for its roof, caught the attention of Waxahachie Global High senior students in Dallas during a recent field trip. "'Out of the box' problem solving, teamwork, and creativity are reflected in the design," writes April Moon, Global High engineering instructor. "These are all skills encouraged in Global High's project-based classes, so seeing a successful project based on these skills was exciting for the students."
