Pennsylvania's Legislative Budget and Finance Committee released a report last week that revealed there were twice as many breweries operating in the state in 2011 as there were in 2001. In 2011, there were more than 100 breweries in Pennsylvania that accounted for an output of 4.3 million barrels of beer. The report said breweries are a significant part of the state's economy, and that liquor laws should be changed to accommodate the growing industry.
