Synergics Wind Energy is seeking approval for a 24-turbine wind project in Garrett County, Md. The company aims to begin building the 60-megawatt Four-Mile Ridge wind project by April and finish it by the end of the year, said Wayne Rogers, president of the company. The project would be good for the county, said Rogers, noting that Garrett County gets approximately $2 million annually in taxes from two wind farms on Backbone Mountain.
