The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with the universities of Virginia and Florida, take the top three spots as the nation's best public colleges for their value, according to an annual list released by Kiplinger's Personal Finance. The 2013 rankings, which include 100 schools, consider various factors for each, including cost and financial aid, student indebtedness and graduation rates, among others. Kiplinger's released its rankings for best private school value in November, naming Yale, Rice and Princeton as the top three.
