Smoking and being physically inactive put depressed patients with heart disease at an even greater risk of death and heart attack, according to a study of 4,676 patients. Their risk of death and heart attack increased by 36.9% with smoking and 21% with physical inactivity. The findings appeared online in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
